Three joinery apprentices have started on the company’s training programme. The students – Liam McCracken, Adam Greenhill and Leon Sangster – attend Dumfries & Galloway College and are all from the local area.
Stuart Barr, Director at 3b construction, said: “It’s important for firms to make a positive contribution to the places in which they operate. That’s why we set up the apprenticeship scheme.
But it’s not just good for the community, it’s good for the company too. Providing opportunities for young people to succeed in the workplace provides us with fresh talent which drives our business into the future.
In Liam, Adam and Leon, we’ve got three youngsters with a passion for the industry. They’ve made a positive start and we look forward to helping them learn a valuable lifelong trade with us.”
Leon said: “I’m so glad I decided to give an apprenticeship a go. It’s a great way to gain experience on the job and quickly develop new skills.”
