3b deliver new Troon power plant

3b were appointed Principal Contractor on a new 10.85 mega watt combined heat and power biomass plant in Troon for Glennon Brothers.

This plant is part of Glennon Brothers expansion plans for the site enabling an increase in production from kiln drying 50,000 cubic metres of wood per year up to 160,000 cubic metres. Surplus electricity will be fed back into the grid with the plant capable of producing enough electricity to power up 20,000 homes.

As you can see from the photos above, six weeks into the project, the site is progressing well.
