Low Energy Housing

3b construction are pleased to have been awarded the contract of building this carbon negative house at Cairn Valley, Moniaive.

Its design, by Mark Waghorn Architects, utilises cutting edge technology to produce a home which is truly sustainable in terms of its use of materials, energy consumption, methods of construction and negative carbon footprint."

The design incorporates rainwater harvesting and purification, a ground source heat pump, wind turbine, and solar thermal panels.

Locally sourced materials will include wool sheared from sheep on the surrounding farm and reclaimed timber. A copse of trees and outcrop of rocks will frame the view of the building, while existing dry-stone walls will extend to its interior.

Dairy Parlours and Agricultural building

3b construction are currently working on a number of large agricultural projects. These include construction of new dairy parlours, slurry storage and livestock buildings. Our experienced team can provide a complete service completing projects on time and to budget.

Deepstone - Award Winning Project

3b construction along with Simon Winstanley Architects have won the Saltire Society Housing Design Award 2009 for a new house which has been named Deepstone. 3b construction also received a Good Building Award – Commendation for the quality of construction on Deepstone from the Chartered Institute of Building.
